Well, today the Kister Kids and I made our own caramel apples with molasses, brown sugar, butter and walnuts. Very fun, but even more fun to watch them (and Jay) becoming progressively stickier as they ate them. Pretty cute.

Last weekend we had our San Diego Mormon Choir and Orchestra concert. It was so wonderful! It was neat to see how happy the children were when they had finished. You could tell they just felt good inside. They'd been a little antsy beforehand, but we danced together and galloped around the "holding tank" room where they kept us prior to performing. It was such a blessing to have that whole experience of singing along with so many others, blending our voices with the power of the symphony orchestra under such wonderful direction.

This week the kids started their first practice with Jackie Abernathy's children's choirs. They had a great time and she's already going to have them perform a song at a fireside this Sunday. Matthew says he wants to sing, so we will see how that goes. :-) My sister, Audra is planning her wedding for end of December/beginning of January so that makes it hard for our cousin Becca to dance at the reception since she'll be 8 1/2 to 9 months pregnant. So I will teach Emily and Samara this month what we call the "white dress dance" to a song called "What Heaven Sees in You". It will be neat to see how they do. I teach Global Rhythms ballet tomorrow. I'm pretty tired, but encouraged that the Lord will help me get some good rest and start fresh tomorrow so I can be excited to teach my class their dance beginning and also cover the PreBallet with Emily and Grace not there tomorrow. I have good children. I am so thankful that they are starting to become more responsible for themselves (just a little--but it's so encouraging!). I have hope for the future! I am hopefully going to be in the Stake Christmas Choir, as well as our Ward Choir at church. I went to ballet class last night, taught by Xavier. I love how well he warms up the class and also that he challenges you constantly, keeps you moving while giving a thousand corrections, so you stay warm and your mind focused. I want to be a good teacher! I need to pay closer attention to how the Savior taught. Many parables, using analogies the people were familiar with. Hmmm...Something to think about. :-)
